About the Role
As the Senior Medical Receptionist / 2IC, you will support the Practice Manager in the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring efficiency and excellence in patient care. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting the Practice Manager with rosters, stock control, and financial management.
Demonstrating strong Medicare knowledge, including WIP & PIP.
Booking and triaging patient appointments efficiently.
Managing incoming calls and patient enquiries with professionalism.
Ensuring an exceptional patient experience at every touchpoint.
Liaising with the practice directors and assisting with financial reporting.
Preparing budgets, recording expenses, and reconciling daily banking totals.
Updating documentation, policies, and procedures.
Assisting with accreditation preparation, ensuring compliance and excellence.
About You
✅ Previous experience in a senior medical receptionist role (or similar) within a GP or specialist practice.
✅ Strong knowledge of Medicare, WIP, and PIP.
✅ Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
✅ Proven experience in rostering, stock management, and financial administration.
✅ A keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
✅ Experience with practice accreditation processes is highly desirable.
